Mares Dragon BCD with SLS Weight System - XS. Mares Dragon SLS BCD has been designed especially for divers that do not just want safety and comfort, but style as well. The Mares Dragon SLS features plush and the collar has neoprene for extra comfort. Thanks to the many stainless-steel D-rings and spacious pockets, you have a lot of space to bring things along during the dive. The Mares Dragon SLS BCD has a strong legacy of reliability and resilience and this version follows that. Updated with the new Mares Slide and Lock System (SLS) weight pocket system and new materials this Dragon will keep you diving in rough waters.
All the main characteristics of the Dragon have been developed for even greater comfort and stability combined with excellent fit and performance. Mares' new Jacket Style Dragon Bladder design is tightly tailored to reduce drag, placing much of the air cell around the tank. The air cell is contoured to greatly minimise the feeling of the bladder underneath your arms, and gives comfortable surface flotation. Air cell slides on shoulders for increased comfort when inflated. All that ergonomics and still has a lift of 19.3 kg (42.5 lb) size large.
Superbly comfortable and stable yet tough and durable. The air cell is made of durable 420 Cordura denier. The Mares Dragon BCD with SLS has Mares Slide and Lock System (SLS) for weight release. This unique weight integrated BCD provides a visual confirmation of proper weight pouch insertion, so there is no guessing when you do your pre-dive check before entering the water. In addition, the BCD is equipped with smart trim weight positioning for a balanced feel when diving.
The Slide and Lock System (SLS) weight pockets have sturdy zipper closures and are easy to slide into the BCD even when wearing thick gloves. The SLS is the safest system available and come in weight capacities of 4 kg and 6 kg (9 lb and 13 lb) weight capacities. SLS weight pockets will work with block or soft pouch weights.
Smart D-ring position with large AISI 304 stainless steel rings, 2 bent: 1 upper and 2 lower that are positioned intelligently within your downward vision also functioning as leverage while inserting the weight pockets. Comfort is paramount with the Dragon elastic cummerbund secures the BCD in place and adjusts for wetsuit compression at depth.
The Mares Dragon BCD comes standard with 3 Pull-Dump/Overpressure Relief Valves, one incorporated into the top of the Ergo Inflator; one located on the right shoulder and a third is located on the rear lower right. Activation of the valves are made easy with both the upper and lower right valves coming with pull cords and the valve incorporated into the Ergo Inflator is activated by an internal cable attached to the inflator mechanism. Inflator includes a 3/8" threaded low pressure quick disconnect hose.
With torso adjustable 50 mm (2") swivel shoulder straps, adjustable chest and waist straps, all equipped with squeeze-style side release buckles for easy donning and doffing. Two angled high capacity cargo zippered pockets with stretch panels, position of the corrugated hose retaining epaulette can be adjusted, shaped shoulder straps adapt better to alleviate pressure on the shoulders, safety whistle and personalize label on weight pockets all makes this one great BCD.
